This page is dedicated to the amazing individuals who reached out and gave to others even in their own hour of need.  While no longer with us, the loving memory and sparkle of their life will indeed live in our hearts forever...

Additionally,  we thank the thoughtful families who named CCHF as an option for donation in memory of their lost loved ones.   We welcome your photographs and remembrances,  please call our office for transmission details.

Jonathan Beech
Jonathan expressed great sadness that he would be unable to thank everyone for what they had done for him.  His mother promised that she would help him, giving him her assurance that there would be a way to say thank you; thus, the Jonathan Beech Memorial Concert was established to fund the COMPASSIONATE COURAGE grief and bereavement program for children K-12.

THIRD ANNUAL
CHIEF WILLIAM F. NEFOSKY JR. MEMORIAL 5K WALK & RUN
APRIL 24, 2009
The Fraternal Order of Police, Newark Police Lodge #4, hosted two walk and run events to memorialize Chief William F. Nefosky Jr.'s 28 years of dedicated service to the City of Newark. Chief Nefosky was a loyal servant to the City of Newark and its citizens. After a courageous and valiant fight, Chief Nefosky succumbed to pancreatic cancer on January 16, 2007. That same year, members of F.O.P. Lodge #4 and other members of the Newark Police Department organized an event in his honor to raise money for the American Cancer Society. Held in the fall of 2007, the Inaugural Chief William F. Nefosky Jr. Memorial 5K Walk & Run was a great success. In association with the City of Newark's Parks and Recreation Department, a second run was held last April. In addition to the American Cancer Society, proceeds were donated to the Compassionate Care Hospice Foundation again this year.
